I found some old money from when I was in Vietnam and a few dollars left over from my R&R trip to Hong Kong in 1967. The bills are a little worn in places (adds character I think) and were just begging to be scanned into the computer.
I have a couple of adaptors and several lenses that I want to try with my Nikon Z7 and my Fujifilm X-T4. The lenses were the Nikkor 28 f/2.8 ais lens and the Nikkor 55 2.8 micro – both manual focus lenses from the early to mid-80s. I took a few pictures of the money using focus peaking on the cameras to really nail the part of the image that I wanted sharp. It was fun shooting and even more fun when I looked at the resulting images on the computer. Technically the 28mm is not a macro lens but it will focus down to about two or three inches. The 55 is a true macro and will also work on the Fuji as a short portrait lens.
Here are the images

I took a lot more pictures – well here is an interesting Matchbox car – the only way I will ever have a 1969 BMW 2002 – classic favorite of mine.

The preceding picture illustrates the great depth of field on the old 28 mm lens. Everything from the right edge to the back of the fireplace is in sharp focus. And, of course you can set it to 2.8 to blur the background. I am having too much fun. Gotta run. Later….
