Where is that picture?

My memory – in my brain – not in the computer is holding pictures from the past. Some of those are digital and I can find the source image on one of many hard drives. Some are memories from the past and I can’t find the slide or the negative that would substantiate the memory. I guess AI can help me re-envision the picture but that’s not the real thing. I want to tell true stories with true images.

I have been adding entries and pictures to Riverdogs for several years. But in reality it’s really been stop and go – and mostly stop. I have more time now (and better intentions) so maybe this medium will be an improved way to tell stories.

I looked at the media that I have uploaded over the years. There’s more there than I remembered. Some favorites for sure and many that have never been posted. So I am going to share some of those here today.

You can get an idea of things I like to shoot. Planes, trains and automobiles. But I also like pictures that include people and animals. I included a couple of pictures that show intentional camera movement (ICM) and that is harder than it looks. Some are half frame images from an Olympus Pen FT. That camera was created 60 years ago.

Enjoy the pics. I will be back soon with some stories. I am getting close to dropping audio into my posts with me talking about when and where pics were taken. Have a great day wherever life takes you.

My work for pay was technical writing. But my passion is collecting classic photo gear and using film cameras and digital cameras to capture images that inspire and motivate me. I hope that you are inspired as well. This site is more about my places that my wife and I go on our travels. Or articles about cameras and lenses that I am currently using. Sometimes I will include links to images that I want to share with you.
